Influent Energy designed, constructed, and interconnected the almost 2 MW rooftop-mounted system located on the Transportation Consultants, Inc. warehouse in New Orleans, Louisiana. This project was part of the 5 MW distributed solar energy pilot program for Entergy New Orleans. This solar array was completed on time, in budget, and installed to specification. At approximately 2 MW, this system produces almost 3 million kWh annually and is the the single largest solar rooftop system across the state of Louisiana.
TCI–France Road
Technically speaking– this system is mounted on the roof on an RBI aluminum rail support system. The rails are attached with L-feet to a Versabracket roof attachment, which is then attached through the roof to the structure below.
Overcoming Project Constraints
The TCI-France Road project posed a logistical challenge. The site host is a very busy trucking facility with rail access at the back of the building and a constant flow of trucking activity at the front of the facility. The Influent team worked closely with the client personnel to develop an execution plan that limited any disruption yet gave us the necessary access to critical areas. This project was completed successfully without any disruption to the client’s daily activity.
