GulfCo Manufacturing, Pueblo, Colorado
Influent Energy has completed a 998.4 kW solar energy system for Gulfco at their Pueblo facility. The system is expected to offset up to 90% of annual energy use, supporting both operational efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
A key design requirement was creating two electrically isolated systems to meet utility program standards. To improve efficiency, the project incorporated a “leap-frog” PV string wiring method, reducing home run wiring by about 15% compared to conventional layouts. Site-specific permitting also required construction of a detention pond, adding another unique element to the project.
Gulfco, a long-standing Pueblo-based manufacturer, emphasizes innovation and continuous improvement:
“We are an organization dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement, all while respecting our history and the contributions that have shaped our success… We are a team of hardworking, committed, and resourceful individuals who ensure that things are accomplished efficiently and correctly to meet our customers’ needs and drive our success.”
This project highlights the impact of pairing renewable energy solutions with strong local industry, advancing sustainability while supporting the regional economy.
